Sometimes, it’s hard to tell people to shut up because they may be telling lies or saying things that just ain’t right. So, is there a solution, especially if you work in an environment where you hear bullshit every other day?
Well, there is. Get a bullshit button. Big, red button with ‘Bullshit’ written on it. Press it when someone tells you nonsense and it will sure make them think twice before they dare try it again.
If you are brave enough, get one for your home as well. Anytime your spouse nags you and you know she has distorted the truth, press the button. I bet that will shut your spouse up without the need for any arguments!

I’m not a big soccer fan but with the World Cup currently generating a lot of interest worldwide, I do drop by sports sites to take a peep at the standings and scores. So, I came across this video clip below. It is not about goals or any star players, but about a referee and linesmen warming up.
You do have to wonder whether they have some rehearsal before this, don’t you? Like the way people practice a dance routine, for example? ![]()

A very short video clip of a baby laughing. Nothing special, but it will make a good stress reliever. Or at least, gives you something to smile about if you are in the middle of something that is really boring.

Are you an internet or gaming addict? I know the virtual world can be very entertaining and addictive because I too spend hours in front of the computer everyday. But at what stage do you think that it will become a serious problem?
I read that in South Korea, a couple neglected their baby to spend their days at the internet cafes to play an online game. Ironically, the game was about raising a virtual baby. But in real life, their own baby was constantly neglected as they feed her only once a day with rotten formula. In the end, the baby died due to starvation.
Can people actually become so addicted to internet and gaming that they can ignore what is happening in their real life? Is it possible? I mean if it is drugs or alcohol, I can understand because those substances cause reactions in your body and hinder your ability to think rationally. But internet and gaming addiction should be easier to control wouldn’t it?
Maybe this type of addiction is similar to gambling but even then, gambling gives you that hope of winning cold hard cash, which is naturally difficult to resist. But what do you gain when you go online and play a game? Even if you win and complete the game, what do you achieve? This is what I find it hard to understand. More so when people can be so addicted that they can neglect their own baby at home.
Then again, this may be perhaps be a new form of social ills. As the world gets more and more wired, the more we turn to the internet for entertainment or recreation. For many, it also fills a void in their lives. It has probably begun to control our lives without us realizing it.
