What do Women Want in a Man

Published by Tot's Mom at 10:13 am under Relationship

As a woman, sometimes it is easy to complain why men do not understand what women want and what we are looking for. We always like to think that what we want is not that unreasonable that men can’t provide. But is it really? Let’ see.

  • Honesty: No women would like a man to cheat or lie. To have a man lying to you to get his hands on your money or covering his tracks when he is seeing someone behind your back is a big no-no. But if she asks if she looks fat or ugly in a particular dress, honesty is not really appreciated.
  • Ambitious: Women usually love ambitious men with a stable career to provide for the family. The more money he earns, the better. But if asks to choose between shopping and a networking session at the golf course on a weekend, shopping would be the wiser answer for the man, with ambition thrown out the window.
  • Equality: The days of housework is a woman’s duty is gone. Women want a man who will do his fair share of the house chores. Equal treatment should also be given to her opinions and desires. And when it comes to the man’s money and assets, a woman would also want an equal share. But if the woman earns and have more money than the man, then sorry, equality does not apply.
  • Expressive: Generally, all women would say they want a man who is able to share his feelings. Someone who doesn’t clam up and who is sensitive to his own feelings. But if a man starts being whiny and cries now and then, women would probably find it a huge turn off instead.
  • Good listener: Women love to talk. What they want in a man would be someone who would listen to and follow what they have to say. However, listening to a woman who says not to waste money and buy her gifts on her birthday and Valentine’s Day would be a serious error for any man.

Perhaps inconsistency is the hallmark of women. Even Freud once said, “Despite my thirty years of research into the feminine soul, I have not yet been able to answer the great question that has never been answered: What does a woman want?”

Yes, what do we want?

I guess each woman has their own list of wish…for me, it is really simple: honest and can support me and my boys :) He doesn’t need to be a good listener cause I know my hubby is not that kind of man…..ask him to listen like force him to drink poison…

women like all of the above but no one is perfect. so for me, each of the category is average or more then its perfect for me.some maybe ambitious but not a good listener so whats the point right? thats is not perfect for me.

I think it is safe to say we want it all….but know we can’t have it all. I think what women want depends on each woman…..there is no easy answer. :-)

Yes, can’t have them all. But some basic things like kindness, a sense of humour, or just being easygoing (vs. fastidious), do count!

Maybe your next post can touch on what men want in women? ;p

I want a tall, dark and handsome prince. LOL! Well, that ideal man doesn’t exist. So, whatever we want is not so important. It’s rather what we can accept which is important.
