Are Women Really Better Off?

Sometimes, people do like to think that it is better to be a woman than a man. Consider the following quotes:

Girls have an unfair advantage over men: if they can’t get what they want by being smart, they can get it by being dumb. - Yul Brynner

I’d much rather be a woman than a man. Women can cry, they can wear cute clothes, and they are the first to be rescued off of sinking ships. - Gilda Radner

The above quotes may have been uttered in jest but the message is just as clear, right? So,

Is it really better to be a woman than a man?

    I had a silly thinking when I was young, I wished I were a boy, haha… boys are stronger and have more freedom, that’s what I think at that time…
