When you were still single and very much available, have you ever felt stressed up with dating? It just so happened that I got in touch with an old friend and I remember she once told me that she is sick of dating and trying to find the right guy.

Being a career woman with a good job, she certainly shouldn’t have much problem finding a man to share her life. But somehow, she feels that the more men she dates, the more reasons she finds not to get married. Maybe she is going out with all the wrong guys that she is finding the dating process such a stressful activity.

My own personal experience on dating is it is fun and offers an opportunity to get to know others a little better. Perhaps I was still young then that going out with different people have an excitement about it.

I guess once a woman reaches a certain age and have been on the dating circuit for years, it becomes kind of stressful having to go out with men you don’t really know and  are suspicious about their intentions. After all, if you are already 30 plus, men that you date may not necessarily be who you think they are. Experience allows them to say and do the right things for the first few dates only for you to find out later the true characters that they actually are. And that is partly why my friend finds the dating game at her age a little too stressful.

But as she says if she doesn’t date, she won’t be able to find a man ever. So, dating has become a love-hate thing for her. Well, I should count myself lucky being married by now. Otherwise, I might just give up on dating if I’m in her shoes and end up being single my whole life.
