Getting your Way

Published by Tot's Mom at 9:34 am under Weekend Q

When we were young, resorting to manipulative behaviors to get what we want from our parents wasn’t an uncommon thing. For example, many kids throw tantrums if they don’t get their way and it is one of the methods to get parents to relent.

But now that we are all adults and in a relationship with someone, have you ever given it a thought about how you get what you want from your partner? Let me ask you this for this weekend:

Do you throw a tantrum, cry, pout or sulk to get your way with your partner?

The funny thing is you may think only kids resort to such manipulative behaviors but if you dwell a little harder on those occasions when you were angry with your partner for rejecting your wants, you may just be surprised at what you did to get your way. :)
